DARK WATERS

The original inspiration for the Dark Waters range was water-dwelling folk tales of Scotland.  Looking at these creatures, I wanted to create a floral-like pattern to suit these tales.  This resulted in a seaweed and mollusc filled pattern with a dark background to suit the dark stories behind the mythical creatures.
Originally drawn with fine liner pen which was then scanned and neatened up digitally which is also where the colour was added and the repeat pattern created.
